ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਪੁਰਬ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਯੰਤੀ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦਿਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਪੁਰਬ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਹੈ — ਜੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਪਕ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ, ਦਇਆ ਤੇ ਇਕਤਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹਨ।

ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ

1469 ਵਿੱਚ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ (ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਨਨਕਾਣਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ) ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਮੇ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਤਾਈ:

• ੴ ਇੱਕ ਓਅੰਕਾਰ – ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ

• ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ – ਸਭ ਦਾ ਕਲਿਆਣ

• ਕਿਰਤ ਕਰੋ – ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਟੀ ਕਮਾਓ

• ਵੰਡ ਛਕੋ – ਜੋ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰੋ

• ਨਾਮ ਜਪੋ – ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੋ

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਝਾਤ-ਪਾਤ, ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਦਭਾਵ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਚ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਪੁਰਬ ਕਿਉਂ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ

ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ — ਇਹ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਆਤਮਾ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਦਗੀ, ਦਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤ:

• ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤ ਫੇਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ

• ਅਖੰਡ ਪਾਠ (48 ਘੰਟੇ ਦਾ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪਾਠ) ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ

• ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਦੀ ਹੈ

• ਲੰਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ—ਸਰਬੱਤ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਭੋਜਨ

• ਸ਼ਬਦ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ

ਮਾਹੌਲ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ, ਭਗਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾਦਾਇਕ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ

ਭੇਦਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਨਕਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦੱਸਿਆ।

2. ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ

ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

3. ਨਿਸ਼ਕਾਮ ਸੇਵਾ

ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ — ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ।

4. ਵੰਡ ਛਕਣਾ

ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਹੈ—ਪਿਆਰ, ਆਦਰ, ਸਮਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਰੋਟੀ—ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰੋ।

5. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ

ਸਾਦਗੀ ਭਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਗ।

• ਕਰੁਣਾ ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਓ

• ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਆਦਰ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਆਓ
